Let us answer some of your questions
We will do the hard work of finding the right local tutor for you, so you won't have to spend ages trawling through tutor profiles on other websites. Simply contact us directly via our website, email or over the phone for your free consultation. We will then carefully use the information you provide to match you with an expert local tutor. Your tutor will contact you directly to arrange a convenient time for the first lesson.
Once we have matched you with an expert local tutor they will contact you directly to arrange a good time for the first lesson. Your tutor will provide you with their contact details and you can manage your ongoing lessons directly with the tutor.
Our lead tutor is also always on hand to offer support or answer any questions you may have. You can contact him here at any time to discuss tuition.
You will pay the tutor directly. Your tutor will let you know how they like to process payment. Usually you will have the option of paying by cash or bank transfer. Unlike other tutoring platforms, you do not have to pay any upfront or hidden fees.
Our tuition rates are all set out on our website here.
We take our tutor registration process very seriously and only recommend tutors that we are confident in. We go above and beyond the vetting processes of other agencies by: reviewing CVs and checking documentation; interviewing all tutors in person; ensuring tutors are experts in their chosen subject; and ensuring all tutors have valid and up to date DBS certificates.
We only recommend experienced teachers and professional tutors. We do not take on any student tutors.
If you need to cancel a lesson then you should let your tutor know directly as soon as possible.
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy, so if you do not give your tutor 24 hours notice of a cancellation (and this is not due to illness or an emergency) then the tutor will charge the full lesson rate for the missed lesson.
For many of our tutors, the tuition they provide is their main source of income and a short notice cancellation means they have a gap in their schedule that they will struggle to fill. We have to be fair to our tutors through maintaining our 24 hour cancellation policy.
Yes, all of our tutors must have valid DBS certificates and they will be happy to bring their certificate along to the first lesson for you to review.
No, we keep our tuition as flexible as possible for pupils and parents. You never have to sign up to a run of lessons and can change the frequency of lessons provided you adhere to our 24 hour cancellation policy
We provide one-to-one lessons at our pupils' homes.
We can arrange another suitable setting if you'd prefer, but home based tuition is usually the most convenient for pupils and parents; and produces the best results.
